Charles William Baumgardner, 73 of Stoystown, died January 12, 2024 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born June 16, 1950 in Somerset, he is the son of George Jennings and Hazel Gertrude (Johnson) Baumgardner. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers George E. and Dale Baumgardner, and twin infant sisters Jean and Jane. Survived by his wife the former Della Mae Menser to whom he was married 39 years, step-son, Steven D. Shaulis and wife Marsha, step-grandson Logan, and sisters and brothers Shirley Claar and husband William of Holidaysburg, Gerald Baumgardner and wife Janice of Somerset, and twin sister Charlotte Aungst and husband Stephen of Duncansville. Charles was a 1968 graduate of Somerset High School, and was a US National Guard Veteran, he worked until his retirement as a mechanic for Wampum Hardware, he was also a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Buckstown. No viewing or visitation a private service will be conducted at the convenience of the family with Reverend Dr. Roy Steward officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.
