Charles Weimer Obituary

Charles Albert "Bud" Weimer, 92, of Somerset, died June 6, 2021 at his home. Born April 15, 1929 in Indian Head, he is the son of Howard Clinton and Mary Ellen (Dunmeyer) Weimer. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers; J.C. "Bob", Howard "Jake", Ray and an infant brother Clyde, sisters; Melba Klink, and Hazel Brant, and daughter-in-law Sandy Weimer. Survived by his wife the former JoAnn Fay Tissue to whom he was married 66 years, children; Gregory L. Gohn and wife Rose of Scottdale, Dixie L. Eisler and husband Gary of Somerset, Sharon A. Sarver and husband Daniel of Confluence, Audie A. Weimer, and Timothy J. Weimer and wife Cheryl all of Somerset, grandchildren; Jasen and Jeffrey Gohn, Katherine Spotted Bear, Angela Tennant, Jereme Sarver, Kizzie Sanner, Amanda Boggio, Ian Weimer, Cassie Ohler, and Chelsey Weimer, great-grandchildren; Aidan, Maddox, Paelyn, Canaan, Alexis, Daniel, Ada, and Addley, also sisters; Mardail Baldwin and husband Oliver of Somerset, Wonda Hostetler and husband William of Loysburg, and Geraldine Ansell of Somerset. Charles was a US Army Veteran of Korea, he was a lifelong farmer and also worked until his retirement as a coal miner for New Florence Mining Co. He was a attended Milford United Methodist Church, and the United Mine Workers Local 1257, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his family and raising beef cattle. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at the Milford Untied Methodist Church, Somerset, where a service will immediately follow at 10 a.m. with Reverends Randall Bain and David McCall officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Milford UMC 368 Bando Rd. Somerset, PA 15501. Interment Johnson Chapel. Military rites accorded by the Somerset County Honor Guard.
