Cheri Lynne Young

Cheri Lynne Young, 67, of Aiken, SC, formerly of Somerset, PA, died October 27, 2022 at The Hospice at Canterbury Place, Pittsburgh. Born March 25, 1955 in Somerset, PA, she is the daughter of R. Lynn and Lois D. (Deter) Young. Preceded in death by her father. Survived by her mother of Somerset, and brothers Roderyk Dwayn Young and wife Sherie of Johnstown, and Roger D. Young and wife Debra of Murrysville, also nieces and nephews: Marina, Daniel, Lucinda, Matthew, Heather and Ashley, and numerous great-nieces and nephews. Cheri was a 1973 graduate of Somerset High School and a graduate of Duff's Business School, and Hagerstown Business College. In her youth she was a majorette and was a bagpiper with the Tam-O-Shanters. She worked until her retirement as Registered Professional Reporter for South Carolina State, and was a member of the NPR Court Reporting Association. No viewing or visitation. A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday at Bradford Cemetery in Woodland, PA. Interment Bradford Cemetery In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to ASPCA www.aspca.org.
