Daniel Harvey Baer, 69, of Rocky Ford, CO formerly of Friedens, died January 27, 2023 at UC Health Central Hospital in Colorado Springs. Born June 9, 1953 in Somerset, he is the son of Harvey Glen and Fern Louise (Demoise) Baer. Preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Susan Baer. Survived by his sister Sharon Warner and husband Timothy of The Villages, FL, and brother Lawrence Baer and significant other Jane Goodhart of South Fork, CO, also nephews and nieces: Adam, Amanda, Jacob, and Kaitlyn. Daniel was a graduate of Somerset High School, he worked as a foreman for GM&W Coal Company and later as a self employed garage owner until his retirement. Daniel spent the last eight years in Colorado pursuing his passion for hunting and fishing. Friends received 10-11 a.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Reverend Barry Ritenour officiating.
