David Ray Brant

David Ray Brant, 65, of Rockwood, died December 30, 2021 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born January 3, 1956 in Somerset, he is the son of William J. and Shirley G. (Grimm) Brant. Preceded in death by his mother. Survived by his father of Rockwood, wife the former Carol Sue Albright to whom he was married 41 years, children; Jill Walker and husband Adam of Shanksville, Jesse Brant and wife Lauren of Biglerville, and Andrew Brant of Rockwood, grandchildren: Maxwell, Cole, Reuben, Caleb, Malachi, and Cyrus, also sister and brothers; Donna Martin, Dean Brant and wife Kristi, Daniel Brant and wife Kathy, and Drew Brant and wife Wendy. David was a 1974 graduate of Rockwood High School, he worked until his retirement for PennDot, and was currently working raising beef cattle. He was a member of Milford United Methodist Church, was a member of Somerset County Beef Producers, was a past 4H leader, Rockwood School Board Member, and State FFA officer. David loved farming and spending time with his family. Friends received 9-11 a.m Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will follow at 11 a.m. with Reverend Randall Bain officiating. Interment Mt.
