Dennis Ray Barnett

Dennis Ray Barnett, 73, of Somerset, died August 26, 2023 at his home. Born January 20, 1950 in Somerset, he is the son of Albert Warren and Helen Louetta (Stairs) Barnett. Preceded in death by his parents, and brother Thomas Barnett. Survived by his wife the former Miriam Irene Smith to whom he was married 23 years, children: Eric Barnett, Jeromey Barnett and wife Crystal, Shawnee Carr and husband Justin, grandchildren: Chase Ciera, Cora, McKenna, William, and Thea, step-children: Jason Hagerty and wife Paula, Michelle Boram and husband Mike, step-grandchildren: Jodi, Michael, Christian, Gabrielle, Hunter, Allison, and Kailey, step-great-grandson Riley, sister Carol Fisher, and special cousins Bill "Bub" and Janet Stairs. Dennis was a 1968 graduate of Somerset High School, and a graduate of Columbia Union College, he worked as a truck driver until his retirement, he was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Frostburg, and enjoyed building and making things. Friends received 10-11 a.m .Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jimmy Buchanan officiating.
