Dennis John Hofecker, 76, of Somerset passed from this life to the next December 27, 2024 at Somerset Hospital. He was born March 17, 1948, in Johnstown, son of the late Orville Hofecker and Margery (Findley) Hofecker-Mack. He was preceded in death by brother Leonard Hofecker. He is survived by devoted girlfriend Linda Weigle of Somerset, his little brother Terry (Deborah) Hofecker of Irwin, Ohio and nieces and nephews. Dennis was a U.S. Army combat veteran having served overseas in Grafenwoehr, Germany and Pleiku, Vietnam. He worked for many years as a General Motors dealership mechanic in Somerset. Friends received 9-10 a.m. Thursday, January 2, 2025 at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will immediately follow at 10 a.m. with Pastor Tom Sprowls, Jr. of Berlin Brethren Church officiating.
