Diana D'Aniello Obituary

Diana Rose D'Aniello, 56, of Somerset, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on September 13, 2020. She was born March 5, 1964 in Hartshorne, OK, she is daughter of Anthony D'Aniello and Nancy (Wanko) D'Aniello-D'Arrigo, and Domenick S. "Mickey" D'Arrigo. Preceded in death by her parents, and sister Deborah Griffin and brother-in-law Robert DeWitt. Survived by her sisters and brother: Nancy D'Aniello, Margaret DeWitt, Carolyn Orslene and husband David, Mary Ann Troy and husband Douglas, Michael D'Arrigo and wife Carrie, and Rebecca Mort and husband Mark, also brother-in-la w James Griffin, and numerous nieces and nephews. Diana was a 1985 graduate of Somerset High School, she worked many years for the Somerset County Workshop, and participated at Ganister Station Adult Daycare, and was member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Diana was born with Down's Syndrome and later developed dementia. Despite her disability, she led a normal and happy life. Diana attended Camp PARC for 41 years, she participated in Special Olympics bowling for many years, and she especially liked playing "Uno Cards", music, and dancing. Her favorite song was Amazing Grace. Diana was a ray of sunshine and was always happy to greet everyone with a hug. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset. A funeral mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Somerset, with Father Angelo Patti Celebrant. Committal Husband Cemetery.
