Donald Eugene Brant

Donald Eugene Brant, 86, of Niles, OH, formerly of Somerset, PA, passed peacefully on September 22, 2022 at Windsor House in Champion, OH. Born March 1, 1936 in Somerset, he is the son of Howard R. and Mary Ellen (Saylor) Brant. Preceded in death by his parents, and brother Paul W. Brant and his wife Judy, sister-in-law Patricia Brant, brother-in-law J.C. Weimer, and nephew Michael Spangler. Survived by his wife the former Evelyn Foust to whom he was married 59 years, brothers and sister: Charles "Chuck" Brant, Shirley Weimer, and Gerald Brant and wife Kathy all of Somerset, and sister-in-law Margie (Foust) Spangler and husband Roger of Florida, and 4 nieces and 3 nephews. Donald was a 1954 graduate of Somerset High School, and a US Army Veteran. He worked until his retirement as a assembler for General Motors Corporation, he loved hunting, fishing, spending time at the Redwood Cabin, and being with family and friends. Donald was a beloved husband, brother, brother-in-law and uncle to all of us, and will always be remembered and cherished for the memories, endless stories, and laughter he brought into our lives. Per Don's wishes services will be private at Faith Lutheran Church with Reverend Kathleen Stump officiating. Interment Wills Cemetery.
