Donald Kelly Obituary

Donald Lee Kelly, 98, of Mentor, OH, formerly of Somerset, PA, died October 5, 2021 in Parma, OH. Born February 11, 1923 in Indianola, PA, he is the son of Walter Leander and Louisa Emma (Millhouse) Kelly. Preceded in death by his parents, wife the former Lucile Margaret Manges who died Oct. 5, 2008, brother Eugene V. Kelly, and sisters Louise A, and Geraldine A. Kelly, and Pauline Pettitt. Survived by his daughters; Carol O'Brien and husband Michael of Las Vegas, and Donna Kelly of Parma, OH, granddaughter; Kristine Kirchner and husband Scott of Walton Hills, OH, and great-grandchildren; Trace and Cassidy. Donald was a 1942 graduate of Somerset High School, he was a US Navy Veteran of WWII serving on the USS Sproston, he worked until his retirement in 1986 with 33 years of service as a Printer Compositor for the Painesville Telegraph. He was a member of the Mentor Methodist Church, Temple Lodge 28, Painesville Chapter 46, Council Royal Select Masters Painesville Council 104, Eagle Commandery #29, Past Illustuous Master Painesville Council, Consistory Valley of Cleveland, he was recently recognized as a 60 year Mason, and was formerly on the Advisory Board Mentor Rainbow.. Friends received 10-11 a.m. Monday October 18th at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Reverend Dr. Arthur Gotjen officiating. Interment Husband Cemetery. Military graveside rites accorded by the Somerset County Honor Guard.
