Dorcas Elaine Arnold Obituary

Dorcas Elaine Arnold, 88, of Davidsville formerly of Somerset, died October 23, 2022 at Laurel View Village. Born March 24, 1934 in Holsopple, she is the daughter of Paul Benjamin and Carrie (Miller) Stern. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Melvin Ray Arnold, son-in-law Marion Younkin, brother Richard Stern, and sisters; Marian Ruth Ferry, Twila Shaffer and Violet Shaffer, and Martha Snyder. Survived by her children: Connie Walters of Sipesville, Debra Younkin of Somerset, Beverly Arnold-Rodkey of Johnstown, and William Arnold of Somerset, also grandchildren: Holly Morgan, Meagan Walters, Dylan and Bryce Younkin, Adam Rodkey, Alycia Dallot, Janna and Morgan Arnold and great-grandchildren: Cullen, Archer, Eli and Nico, brother Robert Stern and wife Carol of Florida, and sister Anna Shaffer and husband Rod of Hooversville. Dorcas was a graduate of Conemaugh Township High School, she was a member of Mt. Laurel United Church of Christ, and Trinity Chapter 138 OES where she was an active member and past Matron. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday with Reverend Dr. James Stobaugh officiating.
