Dorothy Ruth Schilk, 98, of Somerset, died August 26, 2025 at The Patriot. Born March 15, 1927 in Shanksville. She is the daughter of Charles Harold and Erma Laura (Brant) Brant. Preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Dale, Glenn, and John Brant. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews and other family members. Dorothy was a graduate of Shanksville-Stonycreek Hgih School, she worked until her retirement as an underwriter for Firemen's Mutual Fund. Dorothy was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, AARP, and Order of Eastern Star Corinth Chapter in Pittsburgh. No viewing or visitation, a graveside service will be conducted 10 a.m. Friday at Somerset County Memorial Park, with Reverend Justin Judy officiating.
