Edith Morgan Obituary

Edith May (Tipton) Morgan, 84, of Somerset, died April 21, 2020 at her home. Born March 29, 1936 in Conemaugh Twp., Somerset County, PA. She is the daughter of James R. and Cordilla (Shockey) Tipton. Preceded in death by her parents, first husband Eugene L. Schrock, and her second husband William "Bud" Rogers, son Roger Lee Schrock, brothers: Charles, Jacob and Harold Tipton, and sisters: Thelma Ritenour, and Lois Stoner, Barbara Tipton, and Grace Thiel. She is survived by her husband, Frank Morgan to whom she was married 50 years, and her children: William J. Schrock and wife Lori of Scenery Hill, PA; Jeanne M. Braswell and husband Troy of Grand Prairie, TX; Victoria M. Woy and husband Timothy of Boswell; daughter-in-law Dianne Schrock of Meyersdale, and step-children: Frank W. Morgan of Pittsburgh; Cathy L. Cohen and husband Samuel of College Station, TX; Eric D. Morgan and wife Beth of Rockwood; and Angela J. Lenhart and husband Mark of Somerset, also 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and sister Emma Stanfield and husband Ron. Edith was a 1952 graduate of Somerset High School, she worked until her retirement as a waitress for the Pine Grill and later for the Ramada Inn; she attended Somerset Alliance Church; she was formerly a Somerset Homemaker; she enjoyed square dancing with the Wheeler's and Dealer's; and she was active with Silver Sneakers. Due to the current health concerns, services will be held at a later date. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.
