Edward L. Hoffman, 74, of Somerset, passed way on October 18, 2020 at UPMC Somerset Hospital. Born September 4, 1946 in Pittsburgh, he is the son of Lawrence and Anna (Hertel) Hoffman. Preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Jim and George Hoffman. Survived by his wife the former Mary Jane Svonavec to whom he was married 54 years, sons; Steven (Lori) Hoffman, Eddie (Pam) Hoffman and her son Lance, and daughter Amy Hoffman and partner Bryan Dively, grandsons; Caleb Hoffman and Jonathan Dively, also numerous nieces and nephews. Ed worked as a truck driver until his retirement, he enjoyed is summers at the Yough Lake, and made many friends there while boating, he enjoyed watching the Steeler's and spending time with family and friends. The family would like to extend their thanks to Ed's caregivers Jane, Patty and Chris, and the ICU nurses. Friends received Wednesday from 11 a.m.-2p.m. where a service will be conducted at 2 p.m. and friends will be received Wednesday evening from 5-8 p.m. at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset. with Father Angelo Patti officiating.
