Elaine Faye Younkin

Elaine Faye Younkin, 84, of Rockwood, died June 13, 2023 at The Patriot, Somerset. Born January 16, 1939 in Somerset, she is the daughter of Lawrence William and Alverda Viola (Shumaker) Burkett. Preceded in death by her parents, and sons: Gregory and Mark Younkin and former husband Robert Younkin. Survived by her daughter Sharon Harrity and husband Bob of Friedens. 9 grandchildren: Nicole Hardesty, Courtney Heinle, Amanda Burnsworth, Mark Younkin Jr., Renee Emerick, Brandon Younkin, Shannon Scheffel, and Dustin and Tyler Younkin, and numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, including her great-grandson of which she had a special bond Brodie "Little Guy". Elaine was a graduate of Rockwood High School, she worked until her retirement as a self-employed housekeeper. She was a member of Milford United Methodist Church, and enjoyed gardening and flowers. Friends received 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.m with Reverend Douglas Burns officiating.
