Elda Irene Mills

Elda Irene Mills, 83, of Somerset, died June 19, 2022 at Meadow View Nursing Center, Berlin. Born January 13, 1939 in Somerset, she is the daughter of Charles and Elsie Mae (Will) Burk Sr. Preceded in death by her parents, husband James Franklin Mills, great-grandson; Hunter Mills, daughter-in-law Debbie J. Mills, brother, Charles Burk Jr., and sisters Betty Cooper, and Connie Mack. Survived by her children; Teresa Mills, Douglas Mills and wife Maria, and David Mills and wife Tonya, numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and sisters; Dorrie Harber and husband Bob, Elaine Hillegas and husband Gene, and Linda Zimmerman and husband Tim. Elda was a graduate of Shanksville/Stonycreek High School, she worked until her retirement for Calvary United Methodist Church for many years as the coordinator of children's ministries. She loved working with children, and loved doing the Lord's work. No viewing or visitation a private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
