Elizabeth Schmidt, 86, of Somerset, died May 15, 2022 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born March 25, 1936 in Wiesbaden, Germany. She is the daughter of Hans Karl and Maria Magdalena (Weber) Schipp. Preceded in death by her parents, and husband Frank Kjeld Schmidt who died August 24, 2018. Survived by her daughter Ute Maisl-Wust and husband Wolf of Berlin, Germany, grandson Matt Wust, and brother Karl Schipp. Elizabeth worked from 1972 until 2015 for Wheeler Brothers, where she retired. She was an active volunteer with the Children's Aid Home, and Somerset Welfare League. Friends received 9-11 a.m. Thursday May 26, 2022 at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will be Immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Reverend J. Matthew Deal officiating In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Children's Aid Home Programs 1476 North Center Ave. Somerset, PA 15501.
