Elmer Milton Faidley Jr., 77, of Somerset, died December 8, 2023 at his home. Born September 15, 1946 in Lincoln Twp. He is the son of Elmer Milton and Mary Frances (Daniels) Faidley. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sister: Edward Faidley, Patricia Hollis, and James Faidley. Survived by his wife the former Sally Landis to whom he was married 52 years, children, Rebecca Burkett and husband Ryan of Pittsburgh, and Brian Faidley and wife Jennifer of Sipesville, grandchildren, Hailey and Nevaeh Faidley and sisters, Connie Hollis and Mary Kathleen Burkholder. Elmer was a 1964 graduate of Somerset High School, he was a US Navy Vietnam Veteran, and worked as a TV repairman, and later as a psych aide for the State Hospital and later as a corrections officer for SCI Laurel Highlands where he retired. Elmer was a member of the Berlin Brethren Church, and enjoyed his dogs and mowing the yard. Friends received 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.m,. with Reverend Luke Dowdy officiating.
