Ernest Jumet, Jr., "Ernie", 82 of Somerset, passed away on January 27, 2025 at his home. Born October 4, 1942 in Peters Township, PA. He is the son of Ernest and Anna (Lostlen) Jumet. Preceded in death by parents and son in law Douglas Miller and beloved wife of 58 years Dale Ann (Miller) Jumet. Survived by daughters Christine Miller, wife of Douglas Miller (Deceased) and Tracey Lyons wife of Mark Lyons and grandchildren: Courtney (Miller) Raines wife of Matthew Raines and Mackenzie Miller fiancé of Sean Hartanto and Austin Lyons and Travis

Lyons and Morgan (Lyons) Harshberger wife of Kyle Harshberger and great-grandchildren Caiden Lyons, Dawson Lyons, Reece Lyons, and Blayke Raines. Ernie graduated from Monongahela High School. He served four years in the US Navy as a postal clerk aboard the USS Forrest Sherman DD 931. He was employed by Devilbiss Health Care for 38 years and he retired in 2008. Ernie was a member of the Somerset Laurel Highlands Model Railroad Club, American Legion, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Laurel Ridge Sportsman Club, Terrace Lanes Men's Bowling League, and Middle Creek Golf League. He was a former member of the Wheelers and Dealers Square Dance Club. He was an avid golfer and model railroader. He was a person who truly loved people and was a friend to all he met. He passionately loved his wife, children, and grandchildren. He never missed any sports events, dance recitals, graduations, or other activities in which they were involved.

A private service will be held at Memorial Park in Somerset, PA officiated by Pastor Michael Dunlap. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Laurel Highlands Model Railroad Club at 216 West Main Street, Somerset, PA 15501.
