Galen William Miller, 82, of Somerset, died January 3, 2025 at his home. Born June 22, 1942 in Somerset, he is the son of Raymond Orville and Ruth Alverna (Platt) Miller. Preceded in death by his parents, brother Cloyd Miller and sister Grace Wentz. Survived by his sister Ada Shockey of Friedens, and brothers Glenn Miller and wife Joyce of Somerset, Harold Miller and wife Peggy of Friedens, and Joe Miller of Somerset. Galen was a graduate of Somerset High School, a US Army Veteran of Vietnam, he worked until his retirement with Westinhouse. He was a member of Brothersvalley Church, he was a blood donor, and volunteered with the Geiger Community Center. Galen was a jack of all trades, enjoyed working in his yard, and loved his dogs. Friends received 4-7 p.m Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, and from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Reverend Ron Beachy officiating.
