Garnet Elinor Shaulis, 96, of Somerset, passed away peacefully in her favorite chair watching a Hallmark movie on August 12, 2025 at Countryside Personal Care Home. Born December 1, 1928 in Somerset, she is the daughter of Bert R. and Sarah Alice (Ewel) Miller Sr. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold Moses Shaulis Sr. brothers Donald "Boots," Frank, and Bert Miller Jr. and sister Violet Stern. Survived by her children Harold M. Shaulis Jr. and wife Carol, and Susie Branam and husband Donnie all of Somerset, grandchildren Katie Harrison and husband Tom, Aaron Shaulis and wife Keri, Tanner Branam and wife Kate, Chance Branam and wife Jessica, Elyse Cordaro and husband Mike, step-granddaughter Ronna Freeman and husband Allen, 6 great-grandchildren, and 4 step-great-grandchildren. Garnet was a graduate of Somerset High School, she worked until her retirement in the cafeteria at Maple Ridge Elementary, and brought smiles to many children as the "Lunch Lady." She was a member of Laurel Ridge Sportsmen's Club, and enjoyed cooking, bowling, and bead making. To honor her memory of a life well lived. A celebration of life will be held 12 noon-3 p.m. Sunday September 7th, 2025 at The Hayloft 887 W Mud Pike, Rockwood, PA 15557, where an informal service will be held at 2 p.m. with Reverend Josh Spangler officiating.
