Gary Lee Glessner, 64, of Harrisburg, died October 23, 2025 at Hershey Medical Center. Born January 4, 1961 in Somerset, PA, he is the son of Marvin Rei and Amelia J. (Long) Glessner. Preceded in death by his parents and brother Tim Glessner. Survived by his children Gary Glessner, Bryant Glessner, Mallory Glessner, and Bethany Bowers and husband Nicholas; and his nine beloved grandchildren. Gary lived a life defined by hard work, generosity, and love for his family. His love, hard work, and devotion to his family will be remembered always. Over his 45+ years in the HVAC field, Gary became known not only for his skill, but also for his reliability and dedication. His precision and strong work ethic earned him a deep respect from colleagues and clients alike. After many years with the Central Dauphin School District, he retired, and continued to serve his community with integrity and expertise. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Gary will be remembered for his generous spirit and unwavering kindness. He never shied away from lending a helping hand. He had a natural gift for giving—and found peace and happiness in the simple things. Gary found great joy in hunting, fishing, watching football, gardening, tuning up his truck and he especially cherished time spent with his family. His home was a place of warmth and welcome, where he loved to cook for anyone who stopped by. Gary's legacy of kindness, craftsmanship, and devotion will live on through all those who were fortunate to know and love him. Friends received 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.m, with Reverend J. Matthew Deal officiating.
