Harold Wayne Ankeny

Harold Wayne Ankeny, 88, of Somerset, died June 3, 2021 at Meadow View Nursing Center, Berlin. Born August 8, 1932 in Somerset County, he is the son of Noah F. and Odessa (Hoffman) Ankeny. Preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert G., and infant brother Clyde. Survived by his wife the former Germaine Heist to whom he was married 69 years, children; David W. Ankeny and wife Pat of Somerset, and Linda K. Kruth and husband Larry of Grand Ledge, Mich. grandchildren; Heidi M. George, Sean T. Ankeny, Kelly Ann Falbow, Michelle Bickel, Adam J. Kidd, James and Adam Kruth, and 18 great-grandchildren. Harold was a graduate of Somerset High School, he worked until his retirement as a salesman for Ligget Meyers and later for National Laboratories, he was a member of Christ Casebeer Lutheran Church, Lodge 358 F&AM, IOOF, Bedford Elks, and FOE. Harold loved traveling with his wife and taking care of his yard. A service will be held at a later date to be announced. Interment Casebeer Cemetery.
