Harold Samuel "Gypsy" Miller, 79, of Friedens, died November 7, 2025 at his home. Born June 29, 1946 in Somerset, he is the son of Raymond Orville and Ruth Alverna (Platt) Miller. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Cloyd and Galen Miller, and sister Grace Wentz. Survived by his wife the former Peggy Ann Schrock to whom he was married 55 years, children Michael Miller and wife Shirley of Somerset, Kayleen Berkebile and husband Daniel of Stoystown, and Tammy O'Connell and fiance Damian Moschgat of Hollsopple, grandchildren Amy Race and husband Mike, Heather Lichvar and husband Logan, Megan Berkebile and fiance Brandon Richter, Erin, Sara, and Casie O'Connell, great-granddaughter Everly, sister Ada Shockey of Friedens, brothers Glenn Miller and wife Joyce, and Joe Miller all of Somerset. Harold was a 1964 graduate of Somerset High School, and was a US Army Veteran of Vietnam. He worked as a truck driver for Bruce Trent trucking, and later in the meat department at Walmart where he retired. He was also a member of the Geiger Church of the Brethren. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday with Reverends John and Linda Stoner officiating. Interment Mizpah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to UPMC Hillman Cancer Center. Military rites accorded by the Somerset County Honor Guard.
