Janet Elaine Anderson 89 of Friedens, died August 17, 2025 in Asbury Heights, Pittsburgh. Born January 18, 1936 in Somerset, she is the daughter of Perry Shaffer and Theresa Marie (Miller) Walker. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Julius "Jay Bernard Anderson, brothers Clarence, Robert, Herbert, Elby, Fred, Calvin, and Donald Walker, and sisters Dorothy Daugherty, Mabel Revello, and Ruth Williams. Survived by her children Jay Bryan Anderson of Berlin, Jennifer Anderson of Pittsburgh, Janeen Schoenly and husband David of Cranberry Township, grandchildren Meaghan Peters and husband Charles, Zachery Schoenly and fiance Rachel, Alexander Schoenly, great-grandson Maverick Atlas Peters and brother Richard Walker. Janet was a graduate of Shanksville-Stonycreek High School, and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. No viewing or visitation a private service will be conducted at the convenience of the family.
