Jerry Stewart Eisler Obituary

Jerry Stewart Eisler, age 85, went to be with The Lord on January 28, 2026. He was born December 13, 1940 in Somerset, Pennsylvania. He was the son on Stewart and Margaret Eisler. He was preceded in death by parents and his wife, the former Linda Kay Miller of Stonycreek Township, to whom he was married for 37 years. He is survived by his brother, Jack R. Eisler (Linda Riehl Eisler), Perry Ohio. Jerry was a 1958 graduate of Somerset High School and attended the University of Michigan with a degree in Business Management. He worked for Eisler Volkswagen, Suppes Volkswagen, Tom Shannon Chevrolet and Suppes Ford of Johnstown. He spent his entire career as an Automotive Service Manager. Jerry became an Eagle Scout in 1956. Jerry was a sergeant in the United States Army. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ. Jerry was a member of Lodge 554 F AM, Altoona Shrine and Profest Guard. Jerry traveled the NASCAR Circuit for many years for his radio program "Racing of the Winston Cup" on WVSC Radio. He was an avid Sporting Clays shooter, shooting about 3000 targets per year. Jerry was a member and President of the American Legion for many years. He was a member of the Somerset Country Club and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. As a member of the Somerset Honor Guard, Jerry participated in over 500 burials. Friends received 9-11 a.m. Wednesday February 4, 2026 at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Reverend J.
