John Henry Brant Obituary

John Henry Brant, 85, of Somerset, died August 1, 2025 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born Occtober 23, 1939 in Shanksville, he is the son of Charles Harold and Erma Laura (Brant) Brant. Preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Dale and Glenn Brant. Survived by his wife the former Joyce Elaine Ogline to whom he was married 63 years, children Jeffrey Brant and wife Dody of Berlin, John Brant and wife Autumn, and Jacquelyn Maust and husband Eric all of Somerset, 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and sister Dorothy Schilk of Somerset. John was a graduate of Shanksville-Stonycreek High School, he is a US Army Veteran of the Cuban Missile Crisis. He worked until his retirement as a heating technician for Agway, and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Lodge 358 F&Am, Jaffa Shriners, and FOE 1801. No viewing or visitation, a private service will be held at the convenience of the family In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Somerset Humane Society PO Box 182, Somerset, PA 15501.
