Karen Louise Burk, 78, of Friedens, died August 23, 2022 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born November 3, 1943 in Somerset, she is the daughter of Glenn Harold Gardner and Dolora Virginia (Knopsnyder) Gardner-Walsh. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Jesse Edward Burk Sr., son, Vincent E. Burk, brothers; Robert and Ronald Gardner, sister Janet Pugh, and step father Leo Walsh. Survived by her children; Jesse E. Burk Jr. married to the former Teresa Reid of Somerset, Brad L. Burk married to the former Elizabeth Woy of Stoystown, and Virginia "Ginny" Jones and fiance Jeremy Walters of Garrett; grandchildren: Jessica, Samantha, and Melissa Burk, Jason Tressler, Laurel Breckenridge and husband Isaac, Madelyn, Isaac, and Alana Burk, Joshua and Kayla Jones, great-grandchildren: Liam, Rylin, and Mckenna, and step-sister Linda Stewart and husband Roy of Maryland. Karen worked for Wheeler Brothers where she retired. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday with Reverend Gary Anderson officiating.
