Katherine Mary Ansell

Katherine Mary "Katie" Ansell, 34, of Somerset, died August 15, 2018 at UPMC Shadyside.  Born October 1, 1983 in Johnstown, she is the daughter of Donald and Bernadette L. (Panek) Stutzman.  Preceded in death by her mother, paternal grandparents Bruce and Ella Stutzman and maternal grandparents Bernard and Verna Panek.  Katie will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her father and his wife Scotti of Berlin, her loving husband Jarrod Ansell and son Josiah, father and mother-in-law Andy and Brenda Ansell, grandfather Gay Chackan all of Acme, sister and brother; Wendy Simmons and partner Ian Nagoski of Baltimore, and Brad Stutzman and wife Jodi of Clarion, sister-in-law Andrea Hay and husband Allen of Somerset, nieces and nephews; Caleb, Aaron, Amber, Hallie, Cole, Adeline, and soon to be born Alivia, special cousin, Angie Wolk of Acme, best friends; Cassie Hay Albright, Trisha Hottle, Heather Miller, Shantae Seifert, Jen McClain, and Liz Burchell, also many aunts uncles and cousins, and her furbaby Bruno.  Katie was a 2002 graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School, and a 2008 graduate of Duquesne University School of Pharmacy.  She worked as a Pharmacist for Wal-Mart and later for Giant Eagle, she also attended Grace United Methodist Church.  Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, and one hour prior to the service which will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Grace United Methodist Church, Somerset with Reverend Eric Raygor officiating.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Josiah Ansell Education Fund.  www.haugerzeigler.com
