She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, and was the first and only female Mayor of Chickentown. Kay was an extraordinary woman whose life was defined by love, generosity, and an unwavering devotion to her family. Family was the center of her world, and she poured her heart into every relationship. She was immensely proud of her grandchildren and their accomplishments, never missing an opportunity to cheer them on at their sporting events or celebrate their successes. Whether she was playing bingo with her best friend Alice, making her daily rounds calling friends and family just to check in, or gathering everyone together, Kay made each person feel valued and deeply loved. She had a rare gift for putting others' happiness above her own, always wanting to make sure everyone was safe, cared for, and that they got home safely. It was this selflessness that made her so incredibly special. Kay found joy in the simple, meaningful moments of life. She loved Oreo cookies, scratching lottery tickets, play Spider Solitaire, working on puzzles, enjoying board games with grandchildren, and watching the Game Show Network. She treasured going for rides with Pap in search of deer and took great pride in her beautiful magnolia tree. Her warmth, kindness, and steadfast love created a foundation of comfort and strength for everyone around her. The memories she leaves behind are a testament to a life beautifully lived and a woman deeply cherished.
