Keith Houston West, 75, of Somerset, died October 20, 2023. Born August 15, 1948 in Somerset, he is the son of the late Richard James and Janet H. (Houston) West. Survived by his wife, the former Constance "Connie" Hunter, to whom he was married 53 years; children: Richard H. West and wife Victoria, and Amanda West Rad and husband Bobby; grandchildren: Arden, Hope, Hunter, Griffin, and Skyler; and brother Richard J. West III and wife Donna. Keith was a 1966 graduate of Somerset High School, an honors graduate of Penn State University, and a graduate of Cornell Law School, where he was a member of the law review. After graduating from law school, Keith served as a Judge Advocate General in the U.S. Navy before joining Thorp Reed & Armstrong LLP (which later merged with Clark Hill PLC), where he practiced law for 47 years as a partner and leader of the firm's trust and estates department. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Upper St Clair, PA, where he served as a Deacon and Elder. Keith was actively involved in many charitable organizations, and was a past member of the Duquesne Club and the Rivers Club. He was an avid reader, a sports enthusiast and loved spending time with his family. Keith was a wonderful coach, teacher, and mentor to many. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday with Reverend Michael Dunlap officiating.
