Kenneth Lester Lavan, 68, of Somerset, died December 13, 2021 at his home. Born March 14, 1953 in Somerset, he is the son of the late Kenneth Lester and Pearl G. (Forney) Lavan. Survived by his sons; David Lavan and wife Wendy, Tim Lavan and wife Laci all of Knoxville, TN, Chris Lavan of Jacksonville, FL, and Adam Lavan and girlfriend Wendy Brenneman of Meyersdale, also grandchildren, Regan, Allie, Ashlynn, and Austin and former daughter-in-law Amber Sperry. Ken was a 1971 graduate of Somerset High School, a US Navy Veteran, he worked until his retirement for Ebensburg Center, was a member of Glades City Community Church, and was a musician and bluegrass extraordinaire. Friends received 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday with Reverend Melvin Cochran officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Glades CIty Community Church 692 Glade City Rd, Meyersdale, PA 15552. Military graveside rites accorded by the Somerset County Honor Guard.
