Larry Heist

Larry Allen Heist, 70, of Friedens, went to be with the Lord on November 27, 2020 at his home. Born March 20, 1950 in Somerset, he is the son of Charles Robert and Mae Pauline (Zeigler) Heist. Preceded in death by his parents, and brother Robert Heist. Survived by his loving supportive wife the former Judy Roseann Miller to whom he was married 47 years, children: Matthew Heist and wife Kristen of Annapolis, MD, Malinda Vitiello and husband Nicola of Fairview, PA, and Elizabeth Heist of Glen Burnie, MD, grandchildren: Adam, Liam and Michael, brother James Heist and wife Shelby of Michigan, and Joyce Hansrote and Barbara Heist both of Friedens. Larry was a 1969 graduate of Somerset High School, he worked for PBS Coal as a maintenance foreman where he retired in 2010, and was a member of Listie Grace Brethren Church. Friends received 10-a.m. to 12 noon Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a private service will be conducted with Reverend Nicola Vitiello officiating.
