Linda Kay (Claycomb) Patton, 76, of Johnstown formerly of Somerset. went home to be with Jesus, the Christ, and her Lord and Savior on December 19, 2024 at Windber Hospice. Born February 29, 1948 in Bedford County. She is preceded in death by her father, Daniel W. Claycomb, mother, Pearl Evelyn (Gates), her brother, Harry and brother in law John Wilson. She is survived by her husband (of 50 years) Jim (James); their son, John; daughter-in law, Morgan; and their children, her grandson Aras and granddaughter Elsie (all of Johnstown, PA.). Her sister, Betty Ann Wilson and sister-in law Carol Claycomb both of New Paris, Pa., many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Linda was transfigured by her love for others and her love and devotion to Jesus, her Lord. She enjoyed telling others about Him and giving them a PWT. She, Jim and John visited all fifty states. She was graduated from Chestnut Ridge High School (Class of 1966) and Washington Bible College (Class of 1972) with a B. A. in Christian Education. After her marriage to Jim, she worked in many jobs in the Somerset area including at: Newberry's, co-manager of The Out House with (Iris Stutzman), Patriot Manor, private home care in Geiger, and McDonalds at the turnpike for over ten years.She was a member of the Somerset Church of the Nazarene for over 42 years where she served as Sunday school teacher and church board member; and the Gideons International Auxiliary Somerset Camp where she held most local offices and as Area Director of eight camps in three counties. Friends will be received from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.. Saturday December 21, 2024 with celebration of her marvelous, loving life immediately following at 2:00 p.m. all at the Somerset Church of the Nazarene, 382 West Union Street, Somerset, PA 15501.
