Lois Jean Brant

Lois Jean Brant, 83, of Somerset, died October 1, 2022. Born October 8, 1938 in Lincoln Township, she is the daughter of Paul W. and Mary Catherine (Emert) Brant. Preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Miriam Weicht, Anna Walker,, Sara Alice Shaffer, Dorothy Brant, and Linda Cramer, brother H. James Brant and an infant brother Paul W. Brant Jr. Survived by her sister Margaret Cramer of Friedens, and numerous nieces and nephews, and a special niece Mari Beth Hauger of Somerset. Lois was a 1956 graduate of Somerset High School, she worked as a farmer and later as the Gibson "Card Lady" where she retired, she was a lifelong member of Beulah United Methodist church, where she was the treasurer for 50 years, sang in the choir and taught Sunday School, she also enjoyed and was noted for her creative writing. The family would like to extend their gratitude to those at Meyersdale Health and Rehab Center for their care of Lois. Friends received 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Beulah United Methodist Church where a service will immediately follow at 10 a.m,. with Reverend Dane Cramer officiating. Interment Beulah Cemetery.
