Obituary

Lois Jean Marietta, 79, of Somerset, died January 24, 2022 at UPMC Altoona Hospital. Born December 23, 1942 in Connellsville, she is the daughter of Arthur Henry and Catherine (Beatty) Phuntek. Preceded in death by her parents, and brother Arthur Lee Phuntek. Survived by her husband Charles E. Marietta to whom she was married 55 years, children: Cheryl Ulrich and husband Scott of New Oxford, and Charlie Marietta and wife Rebekah of Somerset, grandchildren: Rachel Sneeringer and husband Luke, Levi, Autumn, and Payton Marietta, great-grandson; Colton,and brother William Phuntek of North Carolina. Lois is a graduate of Connellsville High School, she worked as a bookkeeper for various businesses including: William Garlick & Sons, St. Clair Concrete and Kim Landscaping, she was a member of the PA Farm Bureau, and enjoyed sewing, baking, and canning. Friends received 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, with Reverend Jay Shaffer officiating.
