Obituary

Lois Mae Zerfoss, 95, of Somerset, died February 19, 2023 at her home. Born July 24, 1927 in Somerset, she is the daughter of Peter F. and Lydia M. (Pyle) Hoyle. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Lloyd W. Zerfoss Sr., two sons; Larry and Kenneth Zerfoss, sisters; Pearl Buchanan and Grace Meyers, half sister June Shonko, and close friend and companion Walter Leosewski. Survived by her children; Lloyd Zerfoss Jr. and wife Linda of Butler, and Cathy Leasock and husband Dennis of Somerset, daughter-in-law Sharon Zerfoss of Somerset, 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter, sister Shirley Wolk of Somerset and brother John Hoyle of Somerset. Lois worked until her retirement for Gilmour Manufacturing, and was a member of Milford United Methodist Church. Friends received 10-11 a.m. Friday at Milford United Methodist Church, Somerset, where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Reverend Douglas Burns officiating. Interment St. John's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Milford UMC 368 Bando Rd, Somerset, PA 15501.
