Luther "Sonny" Jay Shaulis Jr, 87 of Somerset, died June 14, 2025 at his home. Born May 21, 1938 in Somerset, he is the son of Luther Jay and Helen Edith (Traup) Shaulis Sr. Preceded in death by his parents, wife the former Ingrid Stein, brothers Roy and Donald Shaulis and sister Shirley Moon. Survived by his children Susan Southerland of Lynn Haven, FL, Donna Borosky of Eighty Four, PA, Jay Shaulis of Somerset, and Michael Shaulis of San Francisco, CA, grandchildren Tyler Southerland, Brianna Timmons, Jessica and Jeremy Borosky, great-grandchildren Kaedyn, Evie, Piper, and River, and brothers Fred Shaulis and wife Nancy of Somerset, and Jerry Shaulis and wife Kay of Beckley, WV. Sonny was a 1956 graduate of Somerset High School, he was a US Air Force Veteran of Korea. He worked until his retirement as a machine operator for Leiss Tool & Die, and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, American Legion, FOE, and a former member of the Somerset Jaycee's. No viewing or visitation a private service will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.
