Margie LaVerne Fritz, 91, of Somerset, passed away peacefully September 18, 2023 at her sons home in Hookstown, PA surrounded by family. Born November 27, 1931 in Meyersdale, she is the daughter of Leonard and Margaret (Sipple) Greig. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Ernest Clinton Fritz Sr., daughter Dorothy Auman, grandsons Brad Auman and Benjamin Henning, daughter-in-law Linda Fritz, and brothers: Bill, Deanie, Blaine, Henry, and Leonard Greig. Survived by children: Donald Fritz Sr., Gail Mack and husband William "Leo", Pamela Henning, and Ernest Fritz Jr. and wife Sandra, 11 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, sisters and brother: Bernice Hutchins, Nancy Hetz, Sandra Wilhelm and husband Dale, Clara Miller and husband Wayne, Carol Hershberger and husband Phillip, and Clarence Greig and wife Judy, and son-in-law Allen Auman Sr.. Margie worked until her retirement as a seamstress for Coleman Company, and was a member of St. John's Edie Global Church (formerly St. John's United Methodist Church). Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, and from 10-11 a.m Saturday at St. John's Edie Global Church, Somerset, where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.m with Reverend Thomas Brown officiating.
