Marsha I. Smith, 77, of Friedens, died July 18, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. Born August 15, 1945 in Dayton, OH, she is the daughter of James and Delores (Werling) Hancock. Preceded in death by her parents, sister Sarah Trick, brother Michael Hancock, and a step-grandson DJ Freeman. Survived by her husband Harrison L. Smith to whom she was married 32 years, daughter Jaclyn McCusker and husband Shane of Somerset, grandsons, Lincoln and Lucas, step-daughters, Rhonda Layman and husband Brian of Friedens, and Jeanne Pokos and husband Brian of Houston, TX, step-grandchildren, Elizabeth and John. Marsha worked until her retirement as a beautician,and as a store manager for Sally's Beauty Supply. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, and she loved old films, music and art. Friends received 9-10 a.m Monday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Somerset, where a funeral mass will follow at 10 a.m. with Father Angelo Patti Celebrant.
