Nancy Ellen Leone Obituary

Nancy Ellen Leone, 83, of Rockwood, died April 20, 2025 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born March 19, 1942 in Milford Township, she is the daughter of Thomas and Edna Grace (Ohler) Wolfson. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph Leone, daughter-in-law Margaret Leone, brothers Louis, Kenny, Karl, and Paul Wolfson, sister Lois Baxendale, and step-brother Joseph Rizzo. Survived by her children Joseph M. Leone II of Springs, Judith Ann Leone (Paul Tannehill) of Confluence, and Frank Thomas Leone (Eugenia) of Elmwood NE, 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Nancy was a graduate of Pittsburgh South High School, she worked until her retirement as a cook for various restaurants including the Somerset Country Club and Summit Diner. She was a member of the former Christ United Methodist Church, Fraternal Order of Police, American Legion Auxiliary, and Rockwood Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, and from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Craig Beegle officiating. Interment New Centerville Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Rockwood Volunteer Fire Department 630 Main St. Rockwood, PA 15557.
