Peggy Sue Kimmel

Peggy Sue Kimmel, 66, of Somerset, died October 27, 2022 at Siemon's Lakeview Manor. Born February 13, 1956 in Somerset, she is the daughter of the late William Lloyd and Ethel (Saylor) Kimmel. Survived by her daughter Heather Miller and husband David of Somerset, son Timothy Hay and girlfriend Heather Jones of Arnold, CA, grandchildren: Cohen and Gretchen Miller, brother Robert Kimmel of Florida, and her many longtime friends and caregivers, including: Vickie Hoffman, Sandi Karpinski, and Crystal Reiber. Peggy was a 1974 graduate of Somerset High School, and a graduate of Frostburg State University. She worked until her retirement as an art teacher for Berlin Brothersvalley School. Peggy was a member of Somerset Church of the Brethren, a past member of Somerset Lions Club, and she was a past volunteer with the Boys and Girls Club. Peggy enjoyed her pets Daiquiri and Spencer and enjoyed showing her love for others with meals and baked goods. Friends received 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at the Somerset Church of the Brethren where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.m,. with Reverend Ronald Barto officiating.
