Obituary

Rhoda Reanzo "RT" Thompson, 67, of Somerset, died September 18, 2021 at The Patriot. Born October 9, 1953 in Pensacola, FL, he is the son of Reamous Reanzo and Margaret Jeannette (Wells) Thompson. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Lucy Thompson and step-grandson Braydon Kountz. Survived by his wife the former Patty J. Knupp to whom he was married 23 years, children: Rufus, Amanda and Jessica Thompson, and step-chlldren: Michelle J. Thompson, Michael Kountz and wife Jennifer, and Matthew Kountz and wife Cristina, numerous grandchildren, and step-grandchildren: Madalyn Klawuhns and husband Garrett, Gavin Kountz, Chloe J. Thompson, Nathaniel Iapalucci, Malaki, and Zachariah Fowler, also sisters and brothers in law: Linda Mostoller and husband Carl, and Jay Knupp and wife Kathy. RT was a US Army Veteran of Vietnam, he worked for the past 40 years as a truck driver working most recently for JS Helwig & Son, and was a recipient of the one million mile safety award. He was a member of OOIDA, and enjoyed listening to music, sitting on the porch, and going to eat at King's Restaurant. The family would also like to extend their gratitude to everyone at The Patriot for their wonderful care. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, were a service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Tony Mostoller officiating.
