Richard Maurer Obituary

Richard Eugene Maurer, 70, of Boswell, died February 21, 2023 at Windber Woods Skilled Nursing Facility. Born May 16, 1952 in Somerset, he is the son of Albert Wilson and Mary Jane (Pyle) Maurer Sr.. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Wilma Ruth Adams, brothers; Albert W. Maurer Jr. and James Maurer, and an infant sister. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews including; Ruth Fiscus and husband Peter, and Donna Spear and husband David. Richard was a 1970 graduate of Somerset High School, he worked until his retirement as a mechanic for Shaw Mack and later M&K Truck Center. Richard was member of Listie Grace Brethren Church, enjoyed muscle cars, going to car shows, riding Harleys, and hunting. Friends received 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.m,. with Reverend Christopher Knight officiating.
