Rick Lee Lape

Rick Lee Lape, 63 of Gray, died August 17, 2020 at his home. Born December 14, 1956 in Somerset, he is the son of the late Foster Peter and Kathryn Naomi (Stahl) Lape. Survived by his wife the former Bernice Iva Hoover to whom he was married 16 years, daughters: Brittaney Morgan and husband Christopher of Robinson, Scarlet Auble and husband Andrew of Boswell, and Abby Bohatch and husband Andrew of Emsworth, grandsons; Antonio and Murray and soon to be Leo. Also survived by brothers and sisters: Donald Miller and wife Carol of Milwaukee, Diana Stitely of Vowincle, Larry Lape and wife Dottie of LaVale, Cindy Berkey and husband Tim of Boswell, and uncle Theodore Stahl of Somerset, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Rick was a 1974 graduate of North Star High School, he worked for over 40 years for M. Glosser & Sons in Windber, he was a member of the United Steelworkers Union, and enjoyed fishing in the Outer Banks. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, where a service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday with Reverend Dr. Arthur Gotjen officiating.
