Robert Wayne Cassidy, 95, of Somerset, died April 27, 2025 at Somerset Health & Rehabilitation Center, Somerset. Born November 27, 1928 in Shade Township. He is the son of Robert Milton and Sadie (Zimmerman) Cassidy. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Alice Witt, and brothers William and Floyd Cassidy. Survived by his wife the former Delores Berkey to whom he was married 72 years, children: Wayne Cassidy and wife Carol of Chruchville, VA, Roger Cassidy and wife Gina of Chesapeake, VA, Robert Cassidy of Roanoke, VA, and Barbara Rayman and husband Charles of Central City, 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Robert was a graduate of Shade High School, and was a US Army Korean War Veteran. He worked until his retirement as a self employed land surveyor. He was a member of Lodge 358 F&AM and VFW. No viewing or visitation a private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.
