Robert Edward Sheeler, 91, of Somerset, died October 23, 2024 at UPMC Altoona. Born October 23, 1933 in Somerset, the son of the late Roy Alvin and Lucy Catherine (Hoffman) Sheeler. He is preceded in death by infant daughter Rebecca Lynne. He is survived by his wife, Naomi (Will) Sheeler; his children: Debra Jane Newman; Susan Kay (Arnold) Berkebile; Robert James (Tammy) Sheeler; and Beth Ellen (Richard) Hoffman; his grandchildren: Rebecca (James) Mullen; Matthew Berkebile; Aimee (Austin) Wales; Ashleigh Miller; Brooke Sheeler; Will Sheeler; and Julia Hoffman; great-grandchildren include Caden Mullen and Anderson Wales. Also survived by siblings: Gloria Kimmel, Earl Sheeler, Roy Sheeler, Harold Sheeler, and Lois Jean Hearn. The family would like to thank his caregivers: Patti Brown, Katie Tresise, and Tammy Mayhugh. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of Somerset Church of the Brethren and The Shanksville American Legion, Post 911. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Somerset. Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Somerset Church of the Brethren. Rev. Ron Barto and Robert Brown officiating. Interment Wills Church Cemetery.
