Roger Rayman Obituary

Roger A. Rayman, 65, of Sipesville died November 10, 2023 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsbugh. Born November 30, 1957 in Somerset, he is the son of Earl Cleo and Ethel Mae (Friedline) Rayman. Preceded in death by his parents, and brother Terry J. Rayman. Survived by his extended family Robert and Kim McNeel, special nieces Brittany (Chad) Kister, Rebecca (Aaron) Berkey, great nieces Lilliam and Natalie Kister and numerous cousins and many wonderful friends. Roger was 1975 graduate of Somerset Senior High School, he worked until his retirement for the PA Turnpike Commission with 35 years of service. He was a lifetime member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ where he was an elder and served several terms on church council. Roger was a member of King Solomon Lodge #346, 32nd degree of the Scottish Rite of Harrisburg Consistory He was also a member of Jaffa Shrine of Altoona, Somerset County Shrine Club, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Greater Ferndale sportsman Club, Chickentown Gas & Steam Assoc. He enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, bowling, showing and teaching about his many steam engines, and spending time with his many friends and family . Roger was loved by all who met him, and was always willing to lend a hand. He will be greatly missed. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset. A service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Somerset, with Reverend J. Matthew Deal officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Paul's UCC or Shriners Hospital A masonic service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
