Roger Griffith Williams, 84, of Berlin, died December 23, 2025 at UPMC Altoona. Born December 4, 1941 in Charleroi, he is the son of William and Martha (Timoshin) Williams. Preceded in death by his parents and wife the former Lois Marie Detwiler. Survived by his children Jerrold Williams, Jeanette Landis and husband Steve, and Marc Williams and girlfriend Faithe McHattie, granddaughter Kara Landis, and sister Cheryl Zippay and husband Edmond, and William Williams and and friend Rose. Roger received his associates degree from Point Park College, his bachelors degree from IUP, and his masters degree from University of Pittsburgh. He worked until his retirement as a Business Ed School Teacher in Cumberland, He was a Vietnam Veteran serving with the US Air Force, and later in the Army Reserves,and the Navy Reserves where he achieved a rank of E8 Senior Chief. Roger was a member of Pleasant Hill Global Methodist Church, Bowman's Addition Fire Department, VFW in Berlin, Berlin Historical Society, and the Western Maryland Railway Historical Society. Friends received 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, and from 10-11 a.m. Monday at the Pleasant Hill Global Methodist Church, Friedens, where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.,m. with Reverend James T. Golla officiating. Interment Pleasant Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Pleasant Hill Global Methodist Church 810 Pleasant Hill Rd, Friedens, PA 15541.
