Roy Lester Whitton

Roy Lester Whitton, 88-year-old U.S. Air Force Veteran, passed away at his home in Friedens, Pennsylvania on November 24, 2018.  Roy was born in Martinsville, Nacogdoches, Texas on September 4, 1930, to Malcolm Aubrey and Edna Mary (Anthony) Whitton.  He was born and raised in Texas and later moved to California.  Roy was enlisted for fourteen years in the Air Force and later served 19 years with the Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Controller.  He later retired as a chicken farmer in Tyaskin, MD with his wife Dawn Marie Dupre. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dawn Marie Dupre on November 29, 2014.  He is survived and loved by four children, Rick L. Whitton of TX, Robin L. Houle of MA, Rena L. Berkey of PA, and Rachael L. Whitton of FL.; two sisters, Clara J. Prindle of OR, and Vivian M. Meyer of CA; He also leaves nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
